Prerequisite for a Siemens repair is that the product is in a repairable state. For your repair requests, please contact your regional Siemens expert. They will also give you the address to which you can send the defective product. When making your request, please have data ready to identify the affected product:

• Material/product number
• Serial or product number
• Other name plate information (also possible as image/picture)

Repairs are usually carried out in Siemens Service Centers. In urgent cases, please contact your regional Siemens expert team. They will tell you whether faster processing is possible for your product and what the modalities are. The following types of repairs are offered, for example:

• Express repair
• Turn-around repair: We pick up the defective product from you
• Bring-in repair: After previous consultation you can wait for the completion of the repair in the Siemens Service Center

First of all, it should be clarified with a regional Siemens expert whether a product can be repaired, which modalities apply to the return and to which address you can send the defective product. Contact your Siemens expert before returning the product if you need faster repair processing for your product or if you are interested in a cost estimate, a repair report or a report of findings.

Note when returning:

• The product may have to be decontaminated before it is returned. Your service expert will tell you which products require this. In this case, please enclose the completed decontamination declaration with the return.
• Repaired products are usually returned with factory settings. If you would like the item to be returned with your settings, please let us know when you send it in. As far as technically possible, your settings will then be restored before the return delivery.
• Hardware and software are upgraded to the current delivery status if this is expressly ordered or if it is required due to technical necessity.

According to your order we will carry out the diagnostic or repair of the defective product. If you would like to request a repair report on the work we have carried out or if you need further information, please contact our regional service experts before ordering.

Please note: In many cases, the cause of failure also depends on the environment of the plant and the conditions of use. For this reason, detailed statements on the cause of the failure may only be possible to a limited extent.
