Security of supply meets sustainability in Hamburg’s power grid

The Kuhwerder substation supplies electricity to large parts of the port area in southern Hamburg. In order to ensure a secure power supply for the future, network operator Stromnetz Hamburg opted for a comprehensive modernization of the substation – and for sustainable blue GIS switchgear technology from Siemens.
